Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Anja Drews

Anja was trained as a chemical engineer at TU Berlin and at UC Dublin. During her PhD and her time as a post-doc, she conducted several R&D projects for various companies such as Bayer Healthcare and Veolia, and collaborated, e.g., with different membrane manufacturers. After a position as a lecturer at the University of Oxford, she became professor of chemical engineering at the school of Life Science Engineering at HTW Berlin in 2009.

Anja provides LSM students with comprehensive fundamentals of chemical and process engineering which equips them with a profound awareness of how engineering aspects influence product quality and production costs in the life science industries. Her research interests include the development of efficient processes for sustainable production in the (bio)chemical industry.
