Dipl.-Ing. Joachim Fischer

Joachim Fischer is a seasoned engineering professional and subject matter expert in qualification and validation with long-standing experience in the life sciences and pharmaceutical industries. He currently serves as Subject Matter Expert (SME) Qualification & Validation at VTU Engineering Deutschland GmbH, where he focuses on the qualification, validation, and GMP-compliant implementation of process and facility systems for pharmaceutical and biotech clients. In this role, he brings his deep technical expertise to complex projects, ensuring regulatory requirements are met throughout the lifecycle of installations and process systems.

Before joining VTU Engineering, Joachim Fischer built an extensive professional track record at Pitzek GMP Consulting GmbH, where he most recently held the position of Head of North-East (Geschäftsfeldleiter Nord-Ost) in the Berlin office. In this role he was responsible for expanding and managing the company’s service offerings in the northern and eastern German markets, leading multidisciplinary engineering and GMP consulting projects, and acting as a trusted technical advisor to clients.

Joachim Fischer holds a Diplom-Ingenieur (Industrial Engineering) degree and has developed profound expertise in pharmaceutical process design, qualification, and project leadership. His experience spans production management, interdisciplinary coordination, and the implementation of technically sophisticated systems under strict regulatory and quality frameworks. Over the course of his career, he has worked closely with clients and project teams to ensure that technical, quality, and compliance requirements are effectively integrated into project execution and operational performance.

As a lecturer for the MBA&E Life Science Management program at HTW Berlin, Joachim Fischer brings real-world insights from the intersection of engineering, quality systems, and regulatory practice, helping students bridge academic learning with practical challenges in life science enterprises.
