Sebastian is leading the Cell Biology Lab at Boehringer Ingelheim acting at the interface between Research and Development to develop new biological entities.He is teaching the elective module "Advanced Processes in Life Science Industries" covering the complete life cycle of a therapeutic protein from lead molecule discovery to market supply.

He has 10+ years of international experience in CMC development of biologicals comprising project and innovation management within large corporates, midsize companies, and start-ups. Focus has been the generation of stable manufacturing cell lines including relevant regulatory documents and the evaluation of external sciences and innovations covering all aspects of manufacturing technologies for producing drug substance and drug product of therapeutic proteins. Sebastian holds a master's degree in biotechnology with strong focus on cell culture technology.
