Dr. Maren von Fritschen

Dr. Maren von Fritschen is an esteemed leader in regulatory affairs and currently Head of Regulatory Policy EU at Moderna. 

In her academic role at the HTW, she leads the Regulatory Affairs unit of the International Master’s Program of Life Science Management. She has designed an extensive curriculum consisting of eight units, providing students with a comprehensive and in-depth overview of all development phases for medicinal products and medical devices, from concept to market access.

Dr. von Fritschen holds a PhD in Natural Sciences and is a trained pharmacist. With over 20 years of executive experience in the healthcare sector, she has worked in a variety of settings, from start-ups to large multinational pharmaceutical and medical device companies. She was previously the owner and CEO of AddOnPharma GmbH.

Beyond her professional roles, Dr. von Fritschen is a passionate and dedicated networker, advocating for the pharmaceutical industry. She actively stimulates debate among key stakeholders, including healthcare industries, regulatory authorities, patient representatives, HTA bodies, and payers. Her leadership is exemplified by her tenure as the elected Chair of the Drug Information Association (DIA) Regional Advisory Group for Europe, Middle East, and Africa. She is also a member of several industry associations, including TOPRA, RAPS, and STARS besides EUCOPE, Vaccines Europe.
